Audit Report - Sunday 17th November 2024
Welcome to my first SOX Street Lighing Audit Report. The aim of these reports are too check the lights on my radar, and report on what I have seen. Unfortunately, this audit will contain more lights than I will have wanted to include in my report. I will also include as much detail as possible in my reports to make them worth reading (without getting boring, of course).
Napton on the Hill
The first location I chose tonight was Napton on the Hill. Sadly, since my last audit here, a further three lights have reached end of life stage (one, in a strange way).
Hillside 01 - now End of Life stage.
Philips Mi26, lantern Hillside 01 on Local Lighting page, has now reached End of Life. Although the bulb looks like it has been dead for some days, I have only just discovered it in this audit. My last check around Napton on the Hill was about one week ago, whereby I believe the likely scenario is when I last checked this area this particular lantern was working - but likely died the next day or couple days after.Â
Hillside 02 used to be an old Thorn Beta 5, which was replaced by a TRT Aspect Mini before I set up this website - which is why the lantern does not make an entry on the Local Lighting page.
Thorn Beta 5, Chapel Lane 01, has now also reached End of Life stage. Given how pink and flashy this light is, I would estimate this is the first day or first couple of days of this bulb reaching End of Life stage.
In addition, a lantern on a lane just around the corner now seems to have been replaced by an unidentified LED lantern as there was no familiar orange glow. (lantern St Lawrence Church 02 on Local Lighting page).
Chapel Lane 01 - now End of Life stage.
High Street 03 - appears to be working...?
Although High Street 03 appears to be working, I cannot confirm if this light has reached End of Life stage or not. Before I took this video, High Street 03 started off pink and flashing which made me think this lantern was End of Life. However, the lantern kept warming up slowly but still flashing.
I do believe this lantern has now reached End of Life stage, but the lamp has not fully died yet but is losing elements to keep it powered up.
I will report on this lantern in my next audit report.
Southam
No new lanterns in Southam have reached End of Life stage.
